Second stabbing near school

Yesterday in late afternoon, around 3:30 p.m, a 16-year-old boy was stabbed and serious damaged after a second stabbing near a Toronto high school. The boy from Mother Teresa high school was found laying on the pavement with drenching blood, and was immediatly taken to the hospital, but the boy had non-life-threatening stab wounds to his chest, luckily. This 16 year-old victim just transferred to Mother Teresa last month. A group of teens were found at the scence but refused to talk to the police about the stabbing. Residents around the area told reporters that they didn't find this inccident to be surprising. A man told the reporter that these incidents have been going on for years, and these kids make the town-house residents look bad by bringing the problems to the townhouse area. Cris Bobadilla, who graduated from the high school seven years ago told the reporter that fifteen years ago, anyone can ride a bike late at night and don't have to be scared or worried. Yesterday's stabbing happen to be just in front of Bobadilla's home. This area has been a very messy place with fights always going on and people wanting to stab each other, mostly because people snitches on someone else.
From my personal opinion, I think that our world is turning into a scary one, kids have been manipulated by the media and the public. Before, kids were never thought to be a threat to anyone or anything, but now, teens like us are threatenting others and stabbing others because of someone snitched on a teacher or police. We've also got to keep in mind that we are talking about Canada, a free and safe country, haven from danger, and yet, we still have kids in Toronto our age, stabbing even shooting at others. We must wake up and get out of comfortable life and start changing the world, starting from small things such as schools such as Mother Teresa, because if we don't take action, our comfortable life will soon become a nightmare!

Tens of thousands march through Yangon

Last night, which was Asia's Monday, in Yangoon, Mynanmer's, tens of thousands of anti-government citizens took action to march against the government. This was the largest protest in almost 2 decads. There was about 10,000 monks in the protest, joined by thousands of students and other citizens, to form a total population of at least 30,000 to 100,000. The reason this protest had happened was because in August, when the government decided to double the gas price which had shocked the people of Mynanmer's. The last time Yangon witnessed such a large gathering was in 1988. Military crack down on the event as the same time, killing 3,000 protesters. Protesters fears that the government is about to crack down the event once again, but the government of Mynanmer is underpressure from China to avoid the crackdown. The reason China is putting pressure to avoid the crackdown is because China is a big supporter for the junta as the world knows, and allowing this crackdown would not have a good impression on China as they are the host for next year's olympic games. Other protesters are afraid that the military will use force soon, but Aung Naing Oo, a former student leader told CBC that as the protesters continue to march through the streets, there will be fewer options for the military. Even local celeberties such as actor Kyaw Thu and comedian Zargana had given support to the protesters on Monday. Celeberties provided the protesters with food and water. Kyaw Thu told reporters that they are also buddhist, and they will do everything they can to take care of the protesters as the protesters are doing alot on behalf of the people of Mynamer.

Though I don't think protesting would have a good reflection on the country; however, I totally support the protest of the monks agains the government. The government are inconsiderate, inresponsible and unreasonable for rasing the fuel price. This puts more pressure on the citizens in order to afford a car and pay the fuel price. The purpose of rasing the gas price was to make more money for the government and I think that is really wrong, espicially when controlling a country. If I was a citizen of Mynamer, I would join personally join the protest against the government without a doubt. With presure from China to avoid crack down, I think this protest will work and convince the government to lower the gas price, if not, the protest should continue to go on until the government is willing to stop being greedy and work towards benefits for the people and citizens of Mynamer.

Tricks to help you eat healthfully on the road

About 10 days ago, a report on helping business travelers to eat healthily while travelling. Business travelers are often too busy to care about what they eat and drink. This is not a good idea, doesn't matter how busy you are, your body is the most important thing, but business travelers don't see this. Business travelers are often eating fast food, catching a cheeseburger to go, in order to make a meeting, or catch a flight. Doing this once or twice isn't a bad thing, but if eating cheeseburgers daily, you will suffer from the amount of sugar and fats. Expert Susan Levin says that everyone should try to say as hydrated as possible and eat as much fibre as possible. Experts understand that sometimes, travelers can get really busy and forget about nutrition, that's why Susan suggests that travelers plan ahead of time; to bring home made food. Expert Susan says in order to stay healthy and hydrated, travelers must eat a lot of high-fibre, and low fat food like fruit and vegetables. When going on flights, she suggest to pack pita bread, nuts and dried fruit because it's efficient and easy to carry on the plane. For travelers that are driving, the opportunity to eat healthy meals becomes easier, packing tons of water and stopping once in a while to grab fresh fruit in order to stay hydrated and prevent from eating food containing fats and sugar. Report says that even eating outside in dinner restaurants can be unhealthy because of the fat and sugar in the meal. Experts says that in order to prevent this from happening, order food like grilled chicken, or vegetables. These meals all contain low-fats, high-fibre and low-calories. The report is also saying that now, even fast food restaurants has healthy food like salad, fresh fruit and vegetables or grilled chicken. So, there is no excuse not to maintain a healthy body while traveling on business trips.
I think that this is a great suggestion and tips to give to business travelers. Because these business man are so into making money, they look at their body as a second priority, which is wrong. I know because my father is also a business man and he is always gone early in the morning and return late at night, though he is eating good meals outside, he still isn't aware of the amount of fat and sugar he is consuming. A long-term cycle like this can bring the bodies energy level down, also, increasing weight on the body. The increase in the amount of sugar and fat consumed, can lead to the disease diabetes. Though, more and more people are paying attention to this issue, there are still many out there who aren’t receiving the message. My suggestion for travelers is to really take care of themselves and watch out for the junk food and try to avoid eating it if you can!

Oldest man, 112, wants to live forever

Earlier today, the world's oldest man marked his 112th birthday in south-western Japan. He told reporters and well-wishers that he wants to live and have an infinite birthdays. This man was Tomoji Tanabe, and he was born on September 18th, in 1895. He took the title "Oldest man" when Emiliano Mercado Del Toro, of Puerto Rico past away last January, who was 115 and held the title of "the Oldest man" before he past away. For being the world's oldest man, Tomoji Tanabe received a certificate from the Guinness world records, verifying him as the oldest man in the world. This man was also congratulated and received a bouquet from the major of Miyakonojo City in Miyazaki, which is the place Tanabe lives in. Tomoji is in good health and condition, he still drinks milk everyday and take no alcohol or smoking. The number of people aged 100 and over has almost quadrupled in the past 10 years in Japan.
From my personal opinion, I think this that Japan is becoming a very strong country, rapidly. As the world progresses every day, so is Japan individually. As you can see from statistics, Japan’s health rate has goon up by a lot over the past 10 years. This is telling us that Japan is becoming a dominant country in the world. Having the world’s oldest person living in Japan promotes a great deal of living condition in Japan and this could be a pull factor as for immigration and have more skilled workers to come into Japan. Japan was always a strong country with good living conditions, but with world’s oldest living in Japan, provides a bonus for promoting the country as a whole and Japan is not far from being a dominant country in the future.

China to cut back on executions

On Friday, Septermber 14th, an report came in from a reporter, informing us that Beijing China, has ended a 23-year-old practice which allowed execution to be made through provincial courts in China. The government of China has ordered judges to use death penalties lighter if the criminal cooperates with authorities. China’s death punishment and execution is more than the rest of the world combined. Quote- "Capital punishment should only be given to an extremely small number of serious offenders.” This was said on the Supreme court’s web site. This new order was sent out to provincial courts on Wednesday. When a criminal is put on death sentence, usually, the criminal should get a two-year reprieve which is a penalty that often commuted to life when execution-criminals behave well in jail. Death sentence in China is usually given out to economic, nonviolent and political crimes. An example of Economic capital punishment in China can be on Tuesday, when a former official of the Agriculture bank of China was executed because he took bribes and embezzling bank funds of 15 million yuan ($2 million U.S). About 80% of the world’s capital punishment comes from China. Now, the capital punishment in China requires the approval of the Supreme People’s Court to approve all death sentences.
Upon reading this issue, I think China should stick with the old law for capital punishment because there’s too much crime going on in China, and having mercy upon serious criminals can lead to prison break, or the criminals can influence other criminals who aren’t as bad while in jail. I understand that there might be mistakes from capital punishment, like having the wrong prove for the criminal but if it’s the only way to run the country in a orderly fashion, then it must be done. If China follows the new law for capital punishment, it will take a very long time for each criminal to be convicted. Because China is a very populated place, the government cannot be democratic or even come close to democratic because this will slow down the process of passing on laws or punishments. I was born in China, and I have seen the number of crimes committed and it’s quite scary to see people being robbed, killed, or raped. So I think in order to keep the Chinese citizen under control and have the country run smoothly, China must switch back to the old law regarding capital punishment to control the amount of crimes that goes on in China!

Police officer killed, 3 others wounded

It is truly a nice day, the sky is blue and the clouds are white. But this isn't the case down in Miami, U.S.A. Earlier today in Miami, four Miami-Dade County, Florida, police was were shot during a traffic stop. One of the four police officers died after trying to rescue him, the other 3 were just injured by gun shots. Later, witnesses identifed the suspect to be Shawn Sherwin Labeet. He is 25 years old and he is considered to be dangerous and armed. The Miami-Dade County police said that the suspect was a crazy driver and when the police try to stop him, he fired a rapid high-power rifle and later, witnesses told reporters that it sounded like a machine gun. ''This is a very sad day for us. We need to get this guy,'' Alvarez told The Miami Herald. Indeed it is, that's why at least 200 law enforcement officers are searching for the gunman, also, Several law enforcement agencies including the FBI, are also part of this investigation now. Even a Black hawk helicopter has been employed to help. Quote, Cutler Bay Mayor Paul Vrooman said "This is not entertainment. This is tragedy."
I think this is a tragedy and a very sad day to the United States, and espically to the officer's family. This officer was a brave man indeed. It takes a lot of courage for a man to stop a man who is dangerous and armed and I think the officer has done his job to the fullest. We must pay respect and attention to this officer who gave up his life in order to save the city. We must learn from public heros like this police officer. Most of the people in the world don't pay much attention to police officers because they don't think they are as important, but really, they are the heros of our community and they are the ones giving up their lifes to save others. This suspect must be stopped and caught, so the law enforcement agencies must use every option they have to catch this guy, or else, this officer would've given his life up for nothing because this suspect is still out there robbing and harming innocent citizens. This day has brought dome upon the family of this past-away officer, but let his bravery and courage always be remeber. I believe if everyone in the world had the bravery and the courage of this officer, the world would be a better place!

Group: We fired Israel rocket

Yesterday, in southern Isreal, a tragedy happened to the civilian and the military of the northwestern Negev. A man named Islamic Jihad had launched a shrapnel-packed, long range missile which has a fire range of 15km, into the the Isreali military base from Gaza City. This missiles were called Quad missles. Later, we found out from a spokesman whose name was Abu Hamza that Jihad will intensify its attack on Israli military and it's civilians. Later, Islamic Jihad finnally claimed his responsibility on Tuesday's attack with the Popular Resistance Committee, which is a group created to protect the Palestinian military. Druing this attack, 69 soldiers were injured in total. 59 of the 69 soldiers sustained minor injuries. Later, the IDF reported that 4 civilians were also injurded when the missle shell landed on their house.
I personally think that this is an important issuse to the world and also between the two countries that are in conflict. This shows the world that everyone lives in a dangerous world, though everyone thinks that they are safe, because they have a millitary protecting them which is not true just like this issue about Isreal. This issue is informing the world that as a citizen of our own country and a citizen to the world, we must come together and act up on the dangerous battles that is going on today, in our world. Issues like this cannot happen in the future, because inicent people are getting injured and hurt for something that they aren't accountable for. Many countries are always think of peace as a symbol for the world, but little battles like these that happen every day are causing many casualties in the world. We always say to learn from the past, but sometimes, we should learn from the present too. I think that Jihad should be severly punished for the attack on the isreali army, so the next time he puts a army in japordy, he will think twice before he act.
